FutureVision: Interior Design in the Year 2019

If design is means of improving an individual’s interaction with the world, and our world is so rapidly changing, there is no doubt that the products and services offered by the design industry will also change. This presentation looks at the social and cultural currents that will impact consumers values, motivations and lifestyles over the next 5-10 years, including advances in information technologies, an increased emphasis on well-being, new definitions of pleasure, changing demographic structures and the acceleration of the global economy. Featuring insights from cultural anthropologists, futurists and leading-edge designers including Chris Anderson, Malcolm Gladwell, Mark Dyson, Murray Moss and others.
